Rachel AKA @beergogglesblog is a beer enthusiast from Chicago. Her love of craft beer and thirst for knowledge (#sorrylamepun) brought her all the way to “Beer School” at Beer Evaluation and inspired her to start working on her Cicerone Certification. You can read more about her experience on her blog. In the 20 question below Rachel talks about some pretty cool local breweries with some fantastic sounding beer.
So many good ones but I always enjoy beers by Revolution Brewing because they are very hoppy and delicious!
It was a combination of my dad being interested and one of my friends getting me into home brewing.
Too many to name, I’d love to get my hands on one of the past years of Goose Island Bourbon Barrel Aged beers because I’ve heard amazing things!
Marz Community Brewing is my recent favorite – it recently opened in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago (near where the White Sox play). It’s incredible!
Ok now I just sound obsessed, BUT Marz also has some amazing cans. Jungle Boogie is one of my favorites!
I love Maplewood Brewery & Distillery. It’s a small space, but they have great beer and food!
Bud Light Platinum. What can I say, Justin Timberlake sold it for me.
Yes, I’ve been homebrewing for about a year now!
At a brewery/taproom!
Keg
Mocha lattes with coconut milk are my favorite (which makes me sound so extra) but I can’t drink milk!
My Beer Year by Lucy Birmingham – haven’t finished reading just yet but LOVE it so far!
I’ve met some really cool people via Instagram. I was honestly surprised to see just how many people blog or post about beer specifically but it’s an exciting space!
